I love Brussels sprouts. They are so versatile. And while I love the idea of roasting up some Brussels sprouts in the oven with a little bit of olive oil, sometimes I crave something a little more exciting. These Crispy Asian Brussels Sprouts literally almost require no preparation time at all and are ready in just about 30 minutes.
As you probably know by now is that I love Asian food! So why not creating a delicious Asian inspired side dish? I roasted these Brussels sprouts in a thick sweet and slightly spice sauce and they turned out amazing. Golden brown, crispy and slightly caramelized. Mhhhhmm – delicious.
How to make Asian Brussels sprouts
Making these Crispy Asian Brussels Sprouts was actually very easy and not difficult at all. Simply whisk the sauce together with the instructed ingredients down below. Then, toss the prepped Brussels sprouts in it – make sure that everything is well coated. After, you are ready to roast them in the oven for about 30 minutes.
How to make them crispy
I hate nothing more than saggy Brussels sprouts. However, by placing them in the oven, they crisp up perfectly. Key is to coat them evenly with the Asian sauce. The right amount of oil and as well as the maple syrup will help to caramelize them perfectly. In addition, apart from baking them, my best tip for getting them crispy is to ensure that they are completely dry before you mix them with the sauce and bake them.
